Snehal has been fiercely focused on tech innovation since he started his career. In the ensuing decades he has made critical contributions in diverse technical environments – from his early days leading engineering at a multimedia startup, to building one of the first web platforms for academia, to developing Alcatel-Lucent’s core IP Routing and VoIP products, to standing up best-in-class innovation labs for the telecom industry, to prototyping next-gen mobile solutions in fail-fast environments, to currently leading blockchain efforts at USAA.
Since joining USAA in 2014, Snehal has led advanced research in a number of strategic efforts, including those in cybersecurity and identity management. His current interests include all things blockchain, specially the intersection of Identity with Distributed Ledger Technology and ensuring USAA’s leadership in the RiskBlock Alliance.
Snehal has degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin, and holds multiple US and international patents. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Arts & Minds, a Dallas based non-profit providing an inclusive environment for diverse students to engage in the arts and humanities.
